Service–it’s just that simple
Kiwanis members are committed to providing their clubs, communities, and the world with service. In fact, members dedicate approximately 6 million service hours per year conducting charitable programs. And nearly two-thirds of Kiwanis clubs devote more than 500 hours to service projects annually, with individual members averaging 24 hours of service per year. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Griffin, you are expected to:
Attend meetings on a regular basis
Be an active member of a committee
Pay your dues in a timely manner
Participate in the club’s service projects – Kiwanis Spalding County Fair, Pancake Day and Kiwanis One Day.
Sell at least 8 tickets to the Pancake Breakfast
Work at least 14 hours at the annual Kiwanis Fair
Attend at least one Board of Director’s meeting to learn how business is handled
Invite good potential members to join
Members are encouraged if possible to attend District and Club Training Sessions; attend Inter-Club meetings and to attend conventions to learn more about your Kiwanis Club.
